"A Very Good "Prequel" to The Fold" according to AustinTiffany. I read this after having read The Fold by Peter Clines (a fantastic 5 star book). While this may not quite be the literal prequel, it is definitely the spiritual one, which plenty of elements carrying forward to The Fold.Ostensibly this novel seems like your standard "creepy old 19th century building full of ghosts and mosters" story. However, without spoilers, I'll just say it is no. it would be one of the better ones. Some things go unsolved I think my reading was slightly skewed by reading reviews of this book. Some were perhaps too careless with their hints of what the book contains. The book does telegraph and gives hints at solutions to the mysteries of the story. I do not believe something just "happened" to be solved by some quirk of the author deciding to do an about face. As a mystery novel, it would be one of th.
