A Baxter Family Christmas Jennifer @ Bookish Devices Two years have passed since the car accident that took the lives of Sam and Erin Baxter Hogan and three of their four daughters. Erin’s father, John Baxter has invited a stranger for Christmas Eve dinner—Kendra Bryant, the recipient of Erin’s heart. The family is divided about meeting Kendra and some say they’ll miss Christmas so they don’t have to meet her. At the same time, Maddie West, daughter of Brooke Baxter West, is praying for meaning this Christmas.I’m going to write this review to two different groups of readers.1 - Readers who have read all of the Baxter bo. Mary N. said Welcome back Baxter family!. I truly enjoyed reading this book. I found myself with tears many times. This was hard because I was reading it while travelling in a plane. I constantly wiped tears. I have a hard time around the holidays because of lack of family. This family is so blessed to have each other. I can't help but think that the author, Karen Kingsbury, writes from what she has in her family. It's obvious by how she starts her books out with each of her children and where they are in their lives at the writing of each book. As I have come to know the Baxters, I feel like know her family as well. Thanks Karen for bringing t. Disappointed! K Turner Very, very disappointed in this book. After reading and loving all of the previous 23 Baxter/Flannigan books, the author seems to have lost track of the story lines, character details, past events, traditions, and timelines. Very hard to read knowing the information about the Baxters and Flanigans is not accurate if you've followed their stories through the years. Might be a better read if you are reading it as a stand-alone book. Apparently, neither her editor nor publisher noticed all the flaws and content errors either.
