I highly recommend this book, as so with the other James Herriot Collection, All Creatures Great and Small, All Things Wise and Wonderful, The Lord God Made them All, and Every Living Thing. Mr Herriot is the author and I loved how the story immersed me in the tales of his work among animals, the people he met and the weather during winter when he had to plough through snow to reach an animal in need of help. I have watched the TV series but the book held my attention as no TV program ever could. I laughed and shed tears while reading this book and I guess I will do the same when I read his other books in the series. The time when the books w.
