Description

A VISUALLY STUNNING BOOK Leonard James This is a phenomenal book. I have many art anatomy books but this one is a genuine stand-out for its photos and incredibly beautiful drawings. About half of the book has overlays of transparent paper with muscles and bones over photographs so one can see how the anatomy fits, but I do wish that there were overlays of all the different poses rather than just the basic side, front and back drawings There is a great multi-racial collection of photos of both sexes, at the end and throughout. This volume's drawings are so beautiful. funkbear85 said great reference, nice pictures for shadows and such. scored this for cheap, been waiting to get it and it is an awesome addition to my collection. i did get it used and it had some nice lil scribbles from some former owner who sharpied the heck out of some pages (he had a thing for butts, drew on the butt pages some examples so bonus i guess) other than that super stoked. i know what i was getting used and i would buy this new if i didn't already have my copy.. Arrived quickly, in great shape, just as advertised. Will order again from this vendor.

Carefully constructed photographs of the human form allow you to see the structure and function of the skeleton and main muscle groups. Anatomy for the Artist is like having your own life-drawing studio in the privacy of your home. Six imaginative drawing lessons, each supported with photography, show how to portray the bones, head, rib cage, pelvis, hands, and feet in perspective, from different angles, both in still poses and in movement.
