Fun Book for Toddlers! I am currently building up my children's book collection, and I was so excited to come across this book. I love Andy Warhol's art and this book is a fun introduction to his art. There are many bright bold colors in the book, and I love that. I would have expected nothing less for a book with Andy Warhol's name stamped on it.The book is made for toddler aged children, so it is not something your children will come back to as they age. The book is a sturdy and slightly small - but perfect for little hands to turn. It is also a board book, so it will. "I consider this to be the worst of the group" according to Danny C. Pan. None of the more famous recognizable Warhol images are in this book. The text isn't very well written either. I bought a bunch of books about various artists to use with students and my son. I consider this to be the worst of the group. As an art teacher, I personally wouldn't choose this book to teach kids about Warhol or color. My 21 month old son likes the pictures though. It has an animal theme going on and he likes to point at the animals and practice their noises. Overall, I was very disappointed that this book mostly showed lesser known War. "Book Great but Packing Sub-Standard" according to Grandma. Love the book but the package was not secure and it was crushed when it arrived. I am surprised that the book did not fall out in en-route. The book was bent. I was giving it as a gift so I covered it with a towel and sat a heavy object on top of it. I was very disappointing in the packaging, but the book is a keeper.
Learning about colors has never been so hip! In Andy Warhol's imagination, horses are purple and golden monkeys wear pink baubles on their tails. Through Andy Warhol's Colors, children will learn their colors as they discover that in modern art, anything is possible.
