I really enjoyed it I love that I was able to learn a little more about Kanan and Hera's past. It was a great read overall. After watching a few episodes of Rebels I didn't think the book would have much to offer. I did enjoy how the writer showed all the different viewpoints of the conflic. "OK story, not so many details and importance" according to Amazon Customer. The story of this book is OK. I felt it was slowly paced, but it picks up near the end. It's pretty linear and at some point boring. It has good parts, but it fails in giving more depth to characters. Seems like that we only get some glimpses from Kanan's past, while Her. A very nice beginning in the galaxy far, far away. A New Dawn is the latest novel in the Star Wars universe from John Jackson Miller, but the first in the new canonical timeline set by LucasArts and Disney. It is a fast paced new adventure in the galaxy far, far away which is successful as a prelude to the Rebels animate
