Short starter lesson I expected to have a lot of examples because this is an audio enhanced book. But the author keeps reusing one of his compositions throughout the book. This is a good refresher for people like me that need to be reminded how the horn section works and the best practises for arranging them.. Writing Booster Claude Thomas The continued development of arranging techniques available through this text in combination with another Berklee Press book" Modern Jazz Voicings written by Ted Pease and Ken Pullig have boosted my writing options and elevated my practice writing for professional performance. The knowlege has even helped my writing for the theater.. "Very cool" according to Tom. Valuable book to have in the practice room! Great for teachers and students of the music!
