J. Knight said Not what I was hoping for!. What I was hoping to find here is a rather complete work-up on the remnants of that bygone age to be found in the buildings of Manhattan - that's NOT what this is! The ultimate coffee table book for any glam girl VioletSkye Mesmerizing, high-quality pictures and informative blurbs about artists, architecture, designers, media, and trends of the art deco era. I love getting lost in this book and feeling transported in time. The pages and hard cover are sturdy enough for the many guests that will inevitably thumb through it while "oohing" and "ahhing." A must. Beautiful book! My daughter loved it Beautiful book! My daughter loved it. It's not only filled with great illustrations and art of the era, but also has enough information to also be educational. Great gift!
