"Purrrrr" according to Amazon Customer. Humorous and affectionate photo-journal of various famous people with their furry-purry friends. Each photo is accompanied by a brief essay about the subjects. Many fine-art photographers contributed to this book. A nice gift for cat-lovers, or for those who enjoy a peek into some private lives and some nine-lives.. Fun book Eliot Rosewater We saw this book at our local cat cafe (Mauhaus in Maplewood, Missouri) and immediately fell in love with it. The quality of the photographs are generally unexceptional, but the explanatory text is top notch. There are a lot of artists with which I am unfamiliar which actually made me like this book even more. It's an interesting leaping off point for discovering about other artists of all ilks. Some of the photos are priceless with the cover picture of Salvador Dali and his cat, Babou, my personal favorite. Close behind is a photo. "Great book! Nice Layout" according to J & G Walker. I feel less legitimate as an artist for the absence of a feline in my life after owning this. My dog will just have to do.Great book! Nice Layout, collection of photographs, and written text.

"A lovely visual argument in favor of cats as man's best friend (or muse), this collection features dozens of artists, from Brian Eno to Grandma Moses, palling around with their feline friends." - Mental Floss
