Although it was written for film based work, it is still a good foundation for any one getting started. It want teach you how to use a digital camera to capture images or how to process them, nor does it discuss ccd imaging. But what it does is teach about the various methods of alignment, guiding, and camera attachment, which is the foundation of all astro work anyway.
