Kim K said A Must Have in any cookbook collection. This book is hard to find, but is definitely a MUST HAVE in any cookbook collection. I have made some seriously good cakes from this bookI absolutely am a huge fan, so much so that I have bought it for friends as a gift. I love the fact that the cakes are often large sizes, and so can serve 16 people or so for a dessert at a function/gathering. The Sicilian Apple Cake is amazing and always receives great reviews. Many of the recipes are like this. I'm a fan.. susanna Collier said Love the types of cakes. The cakes in this book are like cooking in a country kitchen-rustic,wholesome,and are different to what you usually see in cookbooks!. OnTheBrightSide said It delivers !. I salivated when I first saw this book, its pictures and the names of the cakes set out for us to make.I don't collect cookbooks, nor watch cooking shows which are on tv ad nauseum, but this one I treasure.I agree with other 5 star reviewers and found the 1-star reviewer's comments baffling. Horses for courses.Pity it is not on bookshelves to this day, it would still sell wellmaybe they'll release a revised edition.
