Cole Porter -- The Platinum Collection: The Definitive Songbook (Piano/Vocal/Chords) (Faber Edition: Platinum Collection)
Description
Maybe not for pianists This book is actually produced by Faber Music, and I'm not sure what their relationship is with Alfred Publishing. I have a lot of Alfred piano music and this doesn't really stack up.The main problem is that the piano staves have been scaled down to about 75% of normal size, and the lines are now so faint that they. this is far from the "definitive songbook". there are this is far from the "definitive songbook". there are many songs i've never heard of, and much popular songs have been left out. in addition there are many error in regard to which show the songs come from. it leaves a lot to be desired.. Good for Cole Porter fans Bought this for a friend and he really, really loves it - and he's not a pianist - and he still loves it. Lots of tunes.
All songs have been newly engraved and thoroughly researched and edited to provide the best edition available! No other series can claim to be as definitive as Faber Music's new Platinum Collection. This is The definitive songbook - a truly magnificent collection containing 50 of Cole Porter's best songs for piano and voice with guitar chords.
