Start your studying with this book, then go to the others I started with this book before going to the GMAT Official Guide. That was absolutely the right move. This book gets you "warmed-up" in the right way. Read the sections through once, then go back and re-read. Make flash cards of concepts you find more difficult. Then go read the GMAT Official Guide and do the diagnostic tests and practice questions in the Official Guide. By reading this guide first, you will have a much clearer head when you open up the GMAT Official Guide. This guide is much more friendly and accessible than the GMAT Official Guide, and presents the concepts in a much clearer. floof said Nice for basics, but probably too easy. In preparing for the GMAT, this book was the first one I purchased. I've used Princeton review books in the past and liked them enough that I bought this one. I went through the book over the course of a couple of weeks, taking a few practice tests along the way. I got about a 550 on my first test, which was a diagnostic before I started studying. After I went through the book, I took another test and scored 600. I went through the instructional materials and practice problems, but not the extra problem sets at the end.Overall, I like the writing style they use, and I found the explanations to. Same as Premium, just has fewer tests See my review about the premium edition (titled: get something else instead). This book is a copy of the Premium 2015 Edition but with fewer tests (2 instead of 6). I would recommend that you get something else but if you must or interested in this book, would suggest you get the premium 2015 version due to the extra CAT tests.P.S, Keep in mind that buying a used edition will still give you access to the tests as the book does not rely on any kind of a unique code to get CAT access.Good Luck on your GMAT!
