Description
This book was recommended to me by a fellow art teacher This book was recommended to me by a fellow art teacher. I read the kindle version (waiting for delivery of the hard-copy) and I'm happy I did. The biggest challenge that I face, in teaching art (painting, drawing, etc.) is getting my students to a place where they can understand and believe that they are already creative people. "Creativity as a second language" is great crash course in working out those "creative muscles." By no means is creativity limited to the visual arts, as the author points out, but I'm confident that this will be helpful for my students, both, in life and in the classroom.Highly recommend!!. BiCoastalDebi said Be more Interesting, Be more Creative, read and learn from "Creativity as a Second Language". I believe we’ve entered a time when there is no curiosity, no creativity and no problem solving skills being passed down to our next generation. I read “Creativity as a Second Language” eagerly, hoping for some good tips to increase my own creativity, as well as sparking it in those around me.Creativity is a difficult skill to transfer to a generation who thinks Google has all the answers, why should they be creative? Luckily, Nancy Pia’s book “Creativity as a Second Language” offered me a plethora of ways to increase my own creativity, many based on examples taken from her real life situations. I&rs.
