"Book three of a favorite series" according to Jack_and_Lois_in_TX. The Tower and the Hive is one of my favorite sci-fi series. The premise is that there are people who have extraordinary mental and psi powers. They are employed by the government to communicate and transport cargo through intra- and inter-stellar space.
