Description

An exciting and riveting mystery Richard C. Reynolds Harry Bosch is working in the Open-Unsolved Unit of the LAPD and occasionally reviews the thirteen year old case of Marie Gesto, one that he just can’t let go. The case gets another close look when a guy named Raynard Waits agrees to take the rap for Marie’s murder along with a host of other crimes. Waits agrees to lead a group of police officers and forensic experts to Marie’s burial site in a high wooded area on the outskirts of Los Angeles. There . Bosch wins again! Jackie Connelly always writes a well developed plot. This one certainly had lots of twists and turns that kept Bosch and the reader guessing. The characters are always interesting. What I like about Bosch is his dedication to getting his guy and being willing to work outside the lines to do so. Now that often causes him a lot of trouble with politicians and command, and he often loses contact with those closest to him because of the tactics he uses. Maybe that just makes him.
