You will end up purchasing it over and over (depending on the instrument your child plays)Otherwise, donate it to the school after you're done with the school year. Start at the beginning of the book and it walks you through how to read music and how to make notes so if you go through the book page by page your skills grow steadily. Essential Elements 2000 Ann Cochran This is an excellent book for someone who wants to learn to play the clarinet one their own.
