Description

The prose moves at a breakneck speed, and the denouement will leave you with a pounding heart and chills up and down your spine. Suddenly and inexplicably, Martie herself begins exhibiting worrying signs of a mental disorder, fearing herself capable of inflicting great harm on her loved ones. One of his greatest abilities as a writer, however, is tapping into the dark paranoia of society. Her best friend, Susan, however, suffers from agoraphobia, or a fear of open spaces, and relies on Martie to take her to weekly therapy sessions. "so I say that it is an awesome read, and if you've never branched into Koontz" according to Jonathan F Lee. One of the first books I ever read from Dean Koontz, this novel set the stage and expectations for all future works I would read from the author. It is a tale of how powerful persuasion of the mind can be, and it is a captivating read. I cannot and will not summarize it as it would take away from the experience of enjoying the book, so I say that it is an awesome read, and if you've never branched into Koontz stories, this is a great one to start reading.. Debbie Richardson said Slow starts but it gets there and makes for a good read. I usually devour a Koontz novel, and I started this book and I have to admit that it was just not grabbing me, so I put it down for a few months. I went back to it and I finished it quickly. There was so much set up, it was necessary to the plot, but at the first read it was just dragging. Then it picked up and I ended up really enjoying it.. Unforgettable, chilling, clever, with what seems like a touch of every type of love capable by man and his best friend Since I learned to read I have never gone more than a week without beginning a new book. Dean Koontz is a great author and I have read a great many of his books. Of them all I would say that False Memory is my favorite. Reading this story was chilling and thought provoking but also full of the best kind of romance a book can possess. The Loyal private thoughts that come from true love and manifest into the small things that are only noticed if that love is mirrored, on the same level by someone else. I found myself thinking about the book while at work,

It can happen to you. It's the one fear you cannot escape, no matter where you runno matter where you hide. More terrifying than absolute darkness. It's the fear of yourself. It's a fear more paralyzing than falling. It's real. More horrifying than anything you can imagine. And facing it can be deadly.Fear for your mind. From the Paperback edition.
