"Nice, but" according to Elden Lindamood. I bought this book because of the house on the cover. Although there are a number of equally beautiful houses in the book, don't expect them to all be of that aesthetic. There are a few interior-only, modern, urban loft projects and a Mediterranian Villa which, although beautifully conceived and beautifully presented, are not of the same ilk. That speaks to the Architects' talent, but I may not have bought the book had I had a full review of the projects within it.To its credit, the book is nicely done.. style and grace for modern life bunsky Anyone who wishes to see an exquisite blending of historical references with contemporary architectural ideals needs to see this stunning book. The Ike Kligerman Barkley houses are not only gorgeous in every interior and exterior aspect, but they are also finely tuned machines for living. The attention to detail in the materials and architectural accouterments is exceptional, and not to be missed. If you want to learn how to build a great house in our time, and how to build an achingly beautiful home, from the outside in and the inside out, this is a book you mus. Beautiful design. Beautiful photography Philip Davis Beautiful design. Beautiful photography. A great addition to my architectural library.
