Hard Cold Look at AI Rich This book is a warning of the dangers of Artificial Intelligence. Douglas Richards is reminiscent of Michael Crichton, one of my favorite writers. Much like Crichton, Richards researches breaking science events and writes an outstanding thriller based on the science. Much like Crichton, Richards focuses on the real dangers of the science and not the rainbows and unicorns wishing of others. Characters are well-rounded, the plot takes unexpected turns, the conclusion is well-written and wraps up the story. There are some plot-threads for a possible seque. ANOTHER HOME RUN BY RICHARDS This time I tried to read a Douglas E. Richards book slowly, taking a few evenings to savor every scene instead of tearing through it like I've done with all his previous books. But I just couldn't keep myself from speeding along as usual to find out what would happen next and from being unable to put the book down for any length of time.
