"Infinite Light, Indeterminable Space" according to Crystal Dragonfly MFA. I recommend this book for many reasons. First it is loaded with images of the artist’s artwork! Equally important – the size of the book is adequate enough that the images have impact, plus the color prints are high quality. When dealing with the subject of artwork that is “made of light” this is of upmost importance. The first article in the book, “Inner Light” by Michael Govan, director of the Los Angeles museum, sets the tone for the book and the ar. THE book on James Turrell This book is the catalogue for a major, year-long retrospective on James Turrell at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art starting in May of 2013. The book is co-authored by LACMA's dynamo director and major Turrell supporter Michael Govan. It is by far the best collection on Turrell's work to date and I highly recommend not only purchasing the book but visiting the museum exhibition, which seems like a blockbuster.To be honest, and I think the authors would agree, any book on Turrell, no. "Five Stars" according to Richard J Taylor. Great part of my collection.
