Sub OK It's Bach's works but it's not mandolin-ish! Rehash of his playable stuff!. Michael Dubhagain said Popular Works of J.S. Bach. This is a great J.S. Bach book for the mandolin. It's written in the standard mandolin tuning of GDAE. If you're playing standard mandolin or octave mandolin you're probably already in GDAE tuning. If you're playing Irish bouzouki you're probably in GDAD and may want to tune the high D course up to E. It's a little easier to play melody (or lead) in GDAE, and it's a little easier to play chords in GDAD.Another review
