very simple to play old songs; fun. I've been playing the ukulele for a few months now, and I just ordered a couple of these small-sized "Jumpin' Jim's" song books, the other being "60's Uke-in". This is by far the easier of the two, and I could just sight-read my way through it with only a couple of unfamiliar chords. These are songs I learned as a child; not sure if kids now adays still learn them, but they would be great to learn for camp-outs or family activit. "Awesome beginner sing along book" according to J. M. Dunn. If you are looking for a book that has lots of easy songs such as you might use to get beginners and groups involved in singing for fun (and learning to play uke by the by), this is the book. Probably not the best if you are looking for more advanced arrangements or book to sit down and learn on your own with (that would be "Tips and Tunes"). A little dull to sit down and play through on your own, but that's not its purpose.. laurelartist said Great songs with clear, easy instructions. Jumpin' Jim has done it again. This is an easy fun camp book for beginning uke players with all of the classic songs. I give it a five star review because the chord diagrams give even beginners a progressive lesson in New chords and a host of campfire songs to sing.
