First, the finger to fret designations on page 6 are contrary to every other mandolin study book I've seen, and the illustration of the mandolin neck on the following page is just lines, not a real illustration. It doesn't resemble the components of the n. I was disappointed with this book I was disappointed with this book. It was too short for the price and was so basic as to be a Mandolin for Kids rather than Mandolin for Geezers. It's chord heavy in it's presentation, which is strange since seniors usually lose the strength in their fingers and a mandolin demands more strength to make chords than a guitar.

While many would say that getting on in years is only a state of mind, the fact is that some of the body parts (including the eyes) don't function quite the same as they did in younger years.
