Scary DPod I'm not good at writing book reviews. I purchased this to help better understand how some of the illusions are created and got what I was looking for.. Must have book brad darvas Fantastic book about some if the most influential makeup effects artists and the stories behind some of their career milestones. The only thing that is bad is that it is around 20 years old, would love to see an update. This is a great history of makeup effects. This book gives a history of makeup effects through biographies of the biggest contributors to the field. Whether you are looking for a career in the industry, or just want to know how movie effects are created, this is a great resource
