If you've never read a Pern book before, the introduction to this story will fill you in on the pertinent backstory and det. Always a fan of Anne. Penniless I have been a fan of these books for over 20 years now. My addiction stared in junior high and has grown into the love that it is today. Her style along with the descriptions have emersed me in the dragonriding fantasy world of Pern. The characters are so vivid in my mind that they actually feel like friends or foes.
