Recommend for any tru NOLA lover DEBBIE WILSON Love this book. Pictures are amazing. First perusal was too much fun. Now I'm reading all the details. So much history. I like that Katrina pictures were somewhat added, but that's not why I like the book. True depiction of then and now. I've seen some of the then (a few years after the picture). Quit a trip down memory lane. Recommend for any true NOLA lover.. I gave this book to a close friend who was born in New Orleans and he told me how much he has enjoyed viewing and reading sections of it with both of his elderly parents who are fond of their early years spent in "The Big Easy.". Many show the changes of time while others remain the same as they were in the past, only more vivid and alive. There is also a few tribute pages to Hurricane Katrina and the damage that she caused with side by side photos of how these places were restored.
