We asked the renowned trombonist and author Alan Raph to re-edit the book to fix errors that have existed since its inception. Raph has now made them part of this new edition. Rochut thoroughly selected and edited the wonderfully lyrical vocalises, composed by master vocal pedagogue Marco Bordogni, and so the study of the trombone was forever changed. Fantastic! James T. McLaughlin I was thrilled when Volume 1 came out! I've played these etudes for over 40 yrs. Much more enjoyable to play with piano accompaniment. A few of the tempos are pretty brisk, so makes you practice. Excellent for practicing good tempo and pitch. It's easy to slack off on both when playing by yourself. Cudos to Alan Raph for finally doing what should have been done 50 years ago. Thank you. Four Stars Definitely challenging for keys and tempo variations and for both range and legato playing..
