Patricia Chandler said I miss Pico Mundo and all of Odd's "family" there. I am an avid Dean Koontz fan and have been for many years. The Watchers, The Taking and Odd Thomas and Brother Odd have been my favorites. It must be hard for Mr Koontz to balance his own creative needs and the overwhelming cries from his fans (AND publisher, I'm sure!) for more, more, more. I really love the Odd Thomas series, so when I picked up Odd Apocalypse, I thought I was guaranteed a good read. Unfortunately, I can't put Odd Apocalypse into that category. Poor Odd dodders around like an old man between recollections of his past (thinly veiled exposition of what has happened in previous books) and a plot where almost. I have read and enjoyed all of the Odd stories from the first one up to this one; this one seems a departure in structure form and style. I can't really say why I did not like this Odd book but I just never felt engaged in the story or the majority of the characters. I did not enjoy this at all and felt it was more a series of disconnec
