In this qualitative research, I interviewed six minority pastors serving in predominantly white congregations in the PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) to explore how they overcome leadership challenges unique to their particular callings and contexts. Sadly, the Christian church lacks credibility in the matters of meaningful racial reconciliation. Minority pastors experience unique leadership challenges in majority culture congregations. Increasingly, both majority culture congregations and minority pastors are seeking to labor together for the sake of the gospel in our racially divided communities.
