I have done a quick review of this book on I have done a quick review of this book on my Kindle. It covers a lot of things that I am interested in and I would give it a 5 star rating for content. However, the photos are so small on the Kindle that they are very difficult to see. I switch to my computer to view it from there - many of the photos are still too small. I wanted to see this book and use the painting exercises to grow as both an artist and an art teacher. I wi. A little gem! This is the type of book that addresses one of the fears of novice painters like myselfpainting people wherever they appear in public and need to be included in ones sketches or paintings. Other painters have written books like this and those may be just as useful, but I find this book to be a confidence builder. One can include much less detail than we think and render a very convincing shape that the brain says "these are peop. cathy in maryland said Great value. I purchased this book before starting a painting to get some ideas for scale and "body parts". Boy, was I surprised by the depth of information!! Not only washes and tips for loosening your paint but specific color mix for skin tone, how to lay in shadows, working perspective with warm vs cool, it's all here!! Excellent purchase
