Persons of Interest: DC Smith Investigation Series, Book 4
Description
What can the links be between a prisoner's violent death in another county, the disappearance of two teenagers, and the highest profile case in Kings Lake for many years? As Smith and his team begin to untangle the threads, one thing becomes clear - they are dealing with some of the most dangerous people that they have yet encountered.. In the peace and tranquility of the woods at Pinehills on a Saturday afternoon, a mobile phone begins to ring. The phone belongs to DC Smith, and it isn't unusual that the call is from Kings Lake Central police station; what is unusual is the fact that he seems to be the subject of an investigation rather than taking part in one
An author of international pedigree! I love it. Peter Grainger has presented a book that compares favorably with international bestsellers. The storytelling is fluid and pleasing. The humor is exquisite. DC Smiths rhetoric when he starts explaining or commenting is full of humor. Sometimes I have to read them two or three times to understand and make the connections. English is only my third language. But the sayings of DC Smith add a whole dimension to the story. The plot is well developed and complete. The side characters are quite interesting and give the story more d. Superb Series by Peter Grainger I am thrilled to have come across Peter Grainger's series: The DC Smith Investigations. Smith is a real hoot, his subtle self deprecating humor is wonderful. He has a collection of casual informants with the community and a few comrades who will get him difficult to locate info. I'm now reading "An Accidental Death" which includes references to his difficu. "My personal favorite of the first four DC Smith novels" according to Barry Melius. Starts out a little faster and more dire than the first three DC Smith novels. It also proceeds more rapidly with with ending that is more fraught than previous novels. Fans of the series can relax,no shoot outs, no car chases, but a full course of good writing in what is fast becoming the standard for English 'who dun its'.
