Treehugger said A valuable reference book, but not a complete text. I greatly enjoyed this book and learned from it. I generally agree with the enthusiasm of other reviewers. The writing style is wonderfully entertaining, whether you are interested in becoming a sculptor or you just wish to learn about small sculptures and collectible action figures. The cartoons are priceless!! I especially liked the cartoon of Athena and her owl sitting in a waiting room.I have several reservations:1. From t. This book has some really good tips and techniques with various materials for the hands on sculptor. The main sculpting author is an extremely talented sculptor who works well in wax and the book reflects this method. He describes some of the materials that you may wish to use in your wax and then gives a couple very disappointing generic wax re.
