Quantum Lens is a very interesting story; but, read or listen to without bias towards pure science fiction. GRK_Astronomer When I first started listening to this book on my long commutes each Monday and Thursday, I was almost turned off totally by the way that it started out fully expecting to be reading or listening to a piece of science fiction. The rantings and self proclaimed hand of Allah was a bit too much and I thought I had made another Amazon purchase boo boo. I stuck with it however, as I do with most books snd it turned out to be a great piece of work, highly original, well resear. First, I was stunned, as I read along to the audible narration, how frequently the voice performer changed words, mixed phrases around, or mispronounced names (Alyssa, the leading lady, became Alicia). Definitely Douglas Richards' work, here. I have seen reviews that say he's today's Michael Crichton, but I don't think so, from the perspective of the totality of his novels. Crichton, it seemed to me, was always writing so as to ensure that a movie deal based on his work would be an easy sell, with nothing terribly complex to clutter up the action, or confuse the average movie-goer. Richards' work is much more interesting than that, and he always offers some well-resear
