A good learning tool tcharvey I found this book approaches rigging math from a different angle, and it's wording is more accessible than other books of it's kind. There are however, some typos and inconsistencies that keep me from giving it 5 stars. I would reccomend this as a good accompaniment to the rigging books by Donovan and Glerum.

About the Author Delbert Hall, Ph.D., is head of the design and technical theatre program in the Division of Theatre and Dance at East Tennessee State University, where he has taught since 1986. He is an ETCP certified rigger (Theatre) and an ETCP Recognized Trainer. This book breaks down complex entertainment rigging (theatre and arena) calculations and makes them easy to understand. Also, this edition has links to even more free downloads of Excel workbooks for arena rigging. It is a great resource for anyone studying for either ETCP rigging exam, and includes an explanation of the equations found on the ETCP Certified Rigger - Formula Table. It also provides hints for remembering many rigging formulas. The third edition has a greatly expanded section on arena rigging, as well as more material and appendices for theatrical rigging. Beginning riggers will find this an excellent textbook and experience riggers will find it as a great reference book.
