Rise Again Songbook: Words & Chords to Nearly 1200 Songs 7-1/2x10 Spiral-Bound
Description
The best I don't review often, but This book has been a long time coming and, I think it is just fantastic. I found Rise up Singing years ago when I was learning to play guitar. There were so many songs, from all styles of music, mostly common chords. This book is the same way with lots of modern music also, Adele, Coldplay, Dar Williams, Dolly Parton, The Beatles, Showtunes, Motown. Love this book!! If you are just learning or an accomplished player this book. The Best Song Guide There Is jenfren I have always loved this series of books by Peter Blood and Annie Patterson (I have signed copies now!!). This is the latest one. My friends and I rely on them for our many gatherings where we share songs and music in circles, around campfires, to teach others songs, and just when a couple of us get together with our guitars. The chord arrangements aren't always perfect, but the compilation is excellent--both comprehensive and wide-ranging, including . "All the songs the original book forgot to include!" according to R. R. R. Lesh. All the songs the original book forgot to include! It's a bit bigger denominational than the original, closer to full-size book size, likely to accommodate more songs or bigger text. I miss the small form-factor of the original but nothing to be missed in the expanded repertoire of songs!
(Vocal). Including extensive liner notes and well-organized indices, this is an important resource for anyone who loves music.. This songbook is a treasure trove of well-loved songs from blues, country, jazz and Motown to composed folk, traditional ballads, gospel and rounds. Using the same unique format as the editors' best-selling songbook, Rise Up Singing , Rise Again provides easy access to 1200 important songs in a compact, affordable collection. Not your average fake book! Great for musicians, camps, teachers or for singing with family and friends
