"Just lovely!" according to FJ. I bought this book after finding sea glass on the island of Bermuda last summer. I'm obsessed with the hobby now, and the pictures in this book take me back to those awesome hours of sifting through the sand to find these glass treasures. I'm buying another copy for my Mom for this Mother's Day, because it was a wonderful experience we were fortunate enough to share together. Thank yo. Sea Glass Hearts Caryn Aman I've given this book as a gift and have, of course, my own copy. Having collected "heart" rocks for years and brought them home as treasures, it was delightful to see her presentation! Beautiful book!. "Rating impacted by packaging" according to Sumatra. The book itself warrants 5 stars but Amazon's packaging left a lot to be desired. The dust-jacket was scuffed & torn from being insecurely packed with another item. I ended up going to B&N to replace this "gift" for one in far better condition.

They know which colors are common (green and brown) and which are unusual (black, yellow, red, and, especially, orange) and they can often identify the age and origin of a specimen. Josie Iselin, the author of Abrams’ popular Heart Stones, turns to sea glass hearts for a companion volume that promises to be just as appealing. On rare occasions, sea glass takes the shape of a heart, the universal symbol of love. Beachcombers the world over treasure sea glass—the shards of broken glass that are tumbled by the waves into smooth, pebblelike forms. In Sea Glass Hearts, Iselin assembles an inspiring collection of these precious objects that are free for the taking—if you are lucky enough to find them!
