I would recommend the book to anyone. It gives you an inside look at being a pilot and what they go thru weather it is at war time or at peace. Unless you are a pilot or know someone that is you don't know what they go thru everyday.. A love letter to an iconic aircraft. Being a lifelong fan of DC-3s, I looked at this book to see what it is like to pilot one in the flesh.This book is a fantastic and reminiscent telling of the moments of drama, hours of tedium, and exceptional experience of flying one of the proudest aircraft in aviation history.If you like DC-3s read this book.I finished it all in one sitting and it was worth it..
