Good book for those who don't read music Rob Love If you are new to guitar, and don't know how to read music, this book is for you. It is straightforward, and simple using the tablature method rather than standard music theory-which will give you a basic start on beginning to understand reading music and music theory later on if you choose. By taking some time doing the exercises, I was strumming away faster than I thought and have also learned that their are a number of music sheet books with tab measures which can let you go on beyond this b. so the book did a great job for someone without knowledge of reading music Amazon Customer I am currently using this book off/on because I got stuck on the "Arpeggio" part of the book. I have never learned to read music, so the book did a great job for someone without knowledge of reading music. I will probably need to get a DVD on "How To" play guitar so I can see it "Visually". So far this book is being very good to me as I begin to teach myself to play guitar. Everything is pretty straightforward and easy to understand, and I would definitely recommend this book to friends and family. I do have prior musical knowledge, but the book explains the basics really well for beginners and gives you several songs to learn to play as you progress.
