The main female character was a rogue As a police detective she overlooked teamwork frequently going off alone on a hunch I would recommend reading this book with its many twists and turns is very engros. Thought she was smarter and better than everyone else. I started to hate her in the second book, and by the third book was hoping the kidnapper would kill her off so wouldn't have to listen to her anymore.
