The Apothecary's Poison: Glass and Steele, Book 3
Description
Nica T said Amazing! Brought smiles, quick page turns, and contented sighs. Love this series!. Yes. This book hit just the right spot! After feeling like book two stalled the over arching story of Matt's watch, and any tension between Matt and India, this book brought it all back into motion. Once again, I found myself smiling through their exchanges and thoroughly enjoying each page of the book. The specific mystery of this book had me guessing and I did not predict the answers. I love the setting of smog filled London, how magic is subtle and hidden, but around when you look for it, and the blending of a fun mystery plot with learning about all the great characters. We had som. Fun series, still going strong Constant Reader This is book three in the Glass and Steele series. The series is fantasy with a period setting in London. The series builds on its continuing story line even while it introduces a new puzzle to solved so it should be read in order. This book begins with magic revealed in a newspaper article when a man is brought back to life. In this world, magic is doubted, feared, and sometimes punished. In their quest to learn more about magic, India and Matt begin investigating the apothecary and the newspaper reporter. It is not long until there is a murder and the weapon was magical. The book has. "Double Cliff Hanger" according to twofeathers. I am giving The Apothecary’s Poison five stars because it, like the others in the series is brilliantly written. Archer’s writing style is captivating with superb dialogue, exciting plot and mind capturing settings. Each book has been a can’t-put-down experience. However, five stars doesn’t mean I’m totally happy with it. C.J., what were you thinking by ending with a double cliff hanger??? Seriously??? I was so ready for what I thought was going to happen, only to have my hopes dashed. I actually felt angry for a while. Is that a good thing? I sincerely ho
