“Had I read this book earlier in my real estate investing career, I easily would have saved myself thousands in taxes and my net worth would be significantly higher!”Brandon Turner, Author of The Book on Rental Property Investing
Helpful I just bought a house to rent and this book has a lot of helpful tips that I am finding useful. I found it of particular use in helping separate out what is to be deducted versus depreciated. I'm glad I got it early on and before I had to worry about collecting receipts for tax purposes. I feel more organized now.. "Easy read and gives solid foundation" according to Cavanman. Overall a well written book. Touches on a lot of different topics from basic deduction such as mileage to the deeper strategies of tax savings such as self administrated Ira's.To me it lacked a little deeper insights into how many of these strategies work, which to be fair the book never promised.Overall well worth the read for those starring out investing in real estate be they flippers or buying to rent.. "Some Obvious, Some Fabulous" according to Chitwood. In my humble opinion, this book has some basic common sense nuggets, some "hey, that's really helpful" nuggets, and some, "wow, that's incredibly insightful!" nuggets. You still need to find a great tax advisor but this book opens your eyes to the possibilities if you are willing to do your part.
