Not my type of UF Stargirl Not sure what all of the five-star reviewers saw or felt that I missed. This was a good beach book, one that passes the time pleasantly but leaves no lasting impact. It was interesting enough, given the strange and wretched life the main character has led, but none of her emotions ever seemed real, none of the atrocities that happened to her and that she committed were ever deeply explored, characterized, or layered into an evolving personality.
