Description
The understanding of randomness has brought about profound changes in the way we view our surroundings, and our universe. In The Drunkard’s Walk Leonard Mlodinow provides readers with a wonderfully readable guide to how the mathematical laws of randomness affect our lives. It definitely falls into the page-turner category, and while there is some math, even the math phobic likely will enjoy it. Ironically, while the book focuses on the impact of randomness in world events and our personal lives, it is very well organized. Yet there is no reason why you shouldn't. A great opportunity to examine how you arrived where you are and the random events that guided you.. Randomness rules A great read, perhaps because the message coincides so well with my own outlook on life: life is random and ruled by uncertainties that are beyond our control, although I continue to make plans because the only way to live is to pretend that you know what will happen tomorrow, next week or a year from now, despite the fact that you have no idea what will happen when you turn the next street corne
