The Fender Bass: An Illustrated History

The Fender Bass: An Illustrated History
Description
Nice photos, but not very in depth. A good overview with some beautiful photos. A little light on the written content. It seems to be aimed at collectors, but without the detail that a collector would want. Also, it ignores some of the lessor known instruments. The Coronado bass only gets one picture (from a catalog) and a couple of brief mentions. Still, it has value . Fantastic Fender bass reference book T. Steele As the "Illustrated History" title suggests, the content is mostly pictorial and light on commentary. Scads of full color glossy photos take you from the earliest P-basses to the Urge bass and beyond. A good portion of the book is devoted to identifying dates of manufacture by head-stocks, logos, bridges, tuning machines, etc. Topped. Jeff P David said Great book to pick up and browse anytime. This book contains some excellent historical information and some fantastic photography of not only the great basses, but even the amps, catalogs, and the cool advertisements from the early days. (I will I still had the catalog that I used to browse back in the early '70s!) Great memories!
