Best Books of the Month, May 2010 As the finale to Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest is not content to merely match the adrenaline-charged pace that made international bestsellers out of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire. Much to her chagrin, survival requires her to place a great deal of faith in journalist Mikael Blomkvist and trust his judgment when the stakes are highest. A familiar evil lies in wait for Lisbeth Salander, but this time, she must do more than confront the miscreants of her past; she must destroy them. But rest assured that the odds are again s
A fantastic and page turning novel which is the second in the series with unique and different Lisbeth Salander. Joseph J. Truncale I usually read the book before seeing a movie version of a novel, but after seeing the girl with the dragon tattoo I had to also read the book. The unique and super smart Lisbeth Salander has a troubled past and it has made her fiercely independent and suspicious of everyone. This fantastic 500 page hardcover novel (The Girl who played with fire by Stieg Larsson) begins where the first book (Girl with the dragon tattoo) ends. Some of the same characters (Mikael Blomkvist, journalist and publisher of the magazine Millennium, and the creepy Advokat Nils Erik Bjurman, who raped Lisbeth Salander in the first book) are in this book. After the . Captivating This is my second go-around of the whole series and I am as captivated by Salanger today as I was the first time I was introduced to her character. The Swedish series on Netflix is as intense as the books are. Looking forward to re-enter cc'ing myself to the third book in the series and then watching all the movies, again. As I stated, I prefer the Swedish versions, but still enjoy the American version, also.. Interesting Fast Read Eric Dane Loved this book. If you are a fan of this series, this book won't disappoint! Although, in my opinion, "The Girl with The Dragon Tatoos " was the best story (movie sucked compared to book). You really can't go wrong with any of these books in the series. They are great fast reads, especially if you fly a lot. Time goes by fast. I've read all the books in this series and really enjoyed them all. These books are so much better than their movies.
