Prosecuting attorneys are usually depicted as either bumbling morons or law-and-order fanatics eager to trample on defendants' rights or both. So, William Eleazer's "The Indictments" is a bit of a change of pace. The novel is written from the perspective of a young prosecutor in the Savannah District Attorney's office and the book is almost as much about the operation of the office and a young attorney's desire to get ahead as it is about the sensational case that he win.
