So, William Eleazer's "The Indictments" is a bit of a change of pace. The novel is written from the perspective of a young prosecutor in the Savannah District Attorney's office and the book is almost as much about the operation of the office and a young attorney's desire to get ahead as it is about the sensational case that he win. Johnny Grant said Another winner from the Colonel. The follow-up to Savannah Law is best read after reading that one first but the reader will not be confused if this is the first Eleazer read. How would that tension resolve within the story, even though Scott doesn't stray (by happenstance, no less).But the big question - whatever happened to Nate Grant? The writing is not pretentious. Toss is a lovely but vicious law student and some hardworking cops and boom! A great read
