Sentimental and nostalgic. 3.5/4 Michelle L. Beck Nora Roberts' is one of my favorite go to authors. Traditionally, her novels offer me comfort and that sense of the familiar that I have grown to know and appreciate. They have romance, intrigue and suspense while giving us a story that we can, most times, relate to. "The Last Boyfriend" is the second story in the Boonsboro Trilogy. I have to admit, any opportunity to visit this small town in Maryland.catch up on the rehab of the Inn; watching the growing Beckett family (the widower Clare and the sweet, patient Beckett, the oldest Montgomery); determine what the resident ghost (Lizzie) is. eh Wow, okay.So this is the first Nora Roberts book I have ever read and didn't like at all. It's not really her fault it's just the fact that I did NOT like the female love interest in this book, Avery. She was all over the place and when she started talking, it was like verbal diarrhea and it irritated me to no end. This also got in the way of when she was trying to communicate something 'heart-breaking,' I just didn't feel it. She talked so much that it felt rushed and I couldn't get a handle of an emotion before she continued with something else. I also kept seeing that whenever she descr. Nora Roberts strikes again As usual Nora Roberts has penned another winning trilogy. I get all caught up in the writing and story and just keep reading and reading. I am always sorry to end the third book as I want at least one more to let me know what happens after the happily ever after.
