The cd's are well done although the songs are at the proper tempo so they are difficult for beginning instrumentalists. None-the-less, I reccomend these books for intermediate level and above.. "Viola for Lord of the Rings" according to Johnny Mau. This compilation was purchased for my daughter, who has been taking viola lessons at school during the past year and a half. This compilation was perfect for her ability and also came with a demo disk so that she can play her viola along with the other accompaniment. I highly recommend this for a beginner violist. Thissell said No disc, no viola. Purchased for the viola and didn't come with the insert.
