Long-winded and dull M M Frank Hamm makes some good points in this book, but unfortunately the reader has to wade through so much dross and redundancy to find them that they lose a lot of their impact. He could just as easily have written a book containing the same information at half the length, though economy in writing is not Hamm's forte, as anyone who has ever read his blog has doubtlessly noticed. Rather than writing a concise, user-friendly personal finance guide, Hamm tediously st. More than one man's story I have to say I agree with D. Bruns' assessment of the books' content. I read Trent's blog, so I only got the book because it's free in the Kindle version. His writing style is lacking any verve (overuse of trite phrases, some overblown prose when recounting the key moments in his life, etc), & I got really tired of his use of the words "simple" and "simply" multiple times on almost every page.Trent is a young midwestern white male, who has a loving wife wit. Excellent overview for helping to define what's really important in life S. Campbell The title is misleading, appearing as it does to reference a personal-finance/debt-reduction manual. It's not the best book of that type, by far. But it's so much more valuable than that. The author goes on a sometimes chaotic discussion of how to figure out what you really want out of life, and then does his best to help you figure out how to get it.
